The John Birch Society — From Someone Who Fled Tyranny
Most people want to be free. And we want to prosper, and to enjoy life. Some people want it so badly that they risk their lives for the American dream — like my family.
You see, I was born in Eastern Europe, when Romania was a satellite state of the communist Soviet Union. Communism, in case you didn’t know it, is a nightmare.
My parents knew early on that if they wanted to raise their family in a land that valued freedom and prosperity, they would need to leave Romania.
Unfortunately, even though my family had permission to enter America, the tyrannical government of Romania wouldn’t allow us to leave. This forced my dad to defect in the middle of the night. He was caught, thrown in prison, and ended up serving almost a year.
After years of setbacks, we eventually made it out.
And now, decades later, I am proud to say that I’m working for an organization whose goal is to keep its nation free and sovereign. The John Birch Society (or JBS) is protecting America from becoming like the country my dad risked his life to flee.
But we know that America is in trouble.
Our founder, Robert Welch, was a visionary. Already by the 1950s, he recognized the Communists wanted to destroy America for the sake of creating a one-world tyrannical government.
Ever since the Society was founded in 1958, it has been providing mountains of information about this very agenda, and it has organized resistance to it.
Unfortunately, many have ignored these warnings, and not enough Americans have pushed back against growing government.
But on the bright side, since 2020 millions of people around the world are waking up.
The heart of the JBS is our members — we consist of educated citizens engaged in effective, coordinated activism across the country. We unite to cut at the root of the problem. This is why we continually fight to Get US Out! of the United Nations and warn against dangerous foreign agreements that destroy our sovereignty. The strength of our country is dependent on the Constitution and those that defend it. That is also why we strongly support our local police and rejects any calls for a Constitutional Convention of any type.
We are a network of diverse colors and faiths with one commonality: a fiery desire to keep America free and prosperous.
Robert Welch was spot-on when he stated, “Education is our total strategy, and truth is our only weapon.”
The John Birch Society helps Americans understand the fundamental principles our Founders gave us, along with the continual threats against us. As more people learn the proper role of government, they will demand that their elected officials obey the Constitution.
We cannot expect positive change to happen if Americans do not understand the Constitution and demand adherence to it.
No constitutionally-oriented organization is more experienced and better equipped than the JBS to organize everyday Americans into an educational army that will transform this nation for the better.
